Job Description Job Title: Senior UX Writer (Level 3) Overview We are looking for a Senior UX Writer to join our UX Information Design team within Product Design. In this role, you will create clear, user-centered content that helps customers confidently set up, understand, and use Bose products. You will collaborate with UX Product Design, CX Design, Engineering, Product Management, Legal, Safety, Regulatory, and other cross functional partners to translate complex product information into accurate, intuitive content for a global audience. As a senior individual contributor, you will independently manage documentation across multiple product programs, contribute to content and workflow improvements, and mentor junior team members. What You'll Do Develop customer facing product content, including Owner's Guides, Quick Start Guides, safety and compliance content, and other instructional experiences. Translate complex technical and regulatory information into clear, concise, user centered content. Partner with cross functional teams to identify customer information needs and ensure content is accurate, usable, and aligned with the intended product experience. Advocate for the customer throughout the product journey, including onboarding, setup, use, and troubleshooting. Independently manage documentation across multiple product programs, including reviews, dependencies, priorities, and launch deadlines. Author and maintain structured content in MadCap Flare, applying topic based authoring, content reuse, variables, conditional content, and multi-channel publishing. Support the continued evolution of documentation from page layout workflows to scalable, reusable structured content. Develop content for global audiences, considering localization, terminology, accessibility, and translation requirements. Collaborate with visual designers to determine the most effective combination of written and visual information. Apply Bose brand, voice, terminology, and content standards consistently. Review and edit content, identify process improvements, and contribute to greater quality, reuse, and efficiency. Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders. Participate in team critiques and initiatives and mentor junior writers. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, UX Writing, English, Communications, Information Design, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Typically, 5+ years of experience in UX writing, technical writing, content design, product documentation, or a related field. Strong writing, editing, information organization, and proofreading skills. Ability to understand complex products and technical concepts and translate them into clear customer facing content. Experience collaborating with engineers, designers, product managers, legal/regulatory partners, or other technical subject matter experts. Ability to independently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced product development environment. Strong communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Experience with structured authoring, content management, or single source publishing. Experience with MadCap Flare, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn structured authoring tools. Experience with InDesign and Acrobat Understanding of content reuse, localization, conditional publishing, and global content development principles. Preferred Qualifications Experience with consumer electronics, connected products, mobile applications, or other technology products. Hands-on MadCap Flare experience. Familiarity with accessibility and plain language principles. Understanding of end to end product development processes. Experience working in Agile, Lean, or similar environments. Our compensation is thoughtfully tailored to your skills, experience, education, and location, and goes beyond base salary. The hiring range for this position in the primary work location of Framingham, Massachusetts is: $90,400-$124,300.The hiring range for other Bose work locations may vary.
